Due to the continued success of Butterflies, we are looking for additional volunteers to help with our services locally.

As we come out of lockdowns, more and more people are being identified as lonely and isolated in our communities. Many are older people who struggle to leave home or have no local family or friends.  We also have younger people who feel isolated and need someone to chat with to motivate and encourage them to move forward – many have no family locally.
Our Befrienders call a couple of clients each week for a general wellbeing chat and to encourage them to talk about their life, hobbies etc. and then build a bond with their new friend. Sometimes its possible to meet for coffee and chat as restrictions allow.
If you are interested in becoming a befriender, please complete this form.
